Den Braven opens Centre of Excellence
The celebration of the 40th anniversary of Den Braven Sealants in 2014 was given an additional shine on 8 November with the opening of the Centre of Excellence by the Alderman for Economic Affairs of Oosterhout Municipality. The company will use this training centre to support both customers and staff to remain updated on the latest developments and techniques. Den Braven organises workshops and trainings for customers about its products, concepts and applications. Furthermore, all commercial staff from the worldwide Den Braven group will be trained here. The building has an airtight design.
The Centre of Excellence has every modern convenience. The large practical room is set up in such a way that practical demonstrations can be provided to 50 people in several locations at once. For training and instruction purposes, mobile practical modules with building elements are available at the Centre. The building has a modern character and has been built using only sustainable materials. The special, daring design of the false front with its gap structure provides a constantly changing light inside the entire building and makes it an eye-catcher.
Airtight and sustainable
A geothermal groundwater pump with 7 bores, each up to a depth of 125 metres, in combination with 80 solar collectors on the roof, generate the energy required to power the M and E installations in a fully sustainable way. To make optimum use of the energy, the Centre of Excellence has an airtight design according to class 3, the highest classification. It speaks for itself that all the products from the Den Braven Sustainable Airtight Building range have been used for this. The airtightness was tested and certified by means of measurements performed by a certified agency. The building period was relatively short, only 7 months.
